Introduction

In 2012, Levno was founded in the Manawatu region by a team of two, with their first product being in the fuel monitoring industry. The company has now grown to over 60 people, and their offering has developed further into also monitoring Milk, Water, and Feed.

How it works

Levno Milk Vat Monitoring can be broken down into 5 different parts.

Part 1 is the installation of the LiDAR unit on top of the vat. This unit is installed in an opening at the top of the vat, which allows for the volume measurements to be taken.

Part 2 is the installation of the temperature sensors. There are two temperature sensors installed on farm. One on the inlet pipe to your vat (milk in) and the other into the vat pocket (milk in vat temperature).

Part 3 is the installation of the magnetometer onto the tank’s agitator. This unit is installed onto the agitator to tell the system when it is turned on or off.

Part 4 is the installation of the transceiver. This is the blue box where all of the sensors are wired into, collecting all of the data, and then sending the data, allowing you to get real-time readings on your dashboard on your phone or pc.

Part 5 is the alerts. Alerts are set up in the phone or pc menu. These alerts will immediately send you a text or email (depending on what you have set up) when an issue is detected on your vat.
